On Wednesday, June 22nd, 100 Women Who Care of Pinellas County presented the Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Tampa Bay with a $9,300 donation. 100 Women Who Care of Pinellas County is a philanthropic group that provides an avenue for women to join together to bring financial support to local, charitable organizations. Members commit to attending four meetings per year and pledge to donate $100 to an elected charity at each meeting. The members have the opportunity to nominate any organization to give a 5-minute presentation and then after a vote is taken checks are written directly to the winning charity. The next meeting is 7:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 23rd, at 4000 Gateway Centre Blvd., Suite 200 in Pinellas Park. There is a social time from 6:00-7:00 pm with drinks and snacks. Since February of 2013, 100 Women Who Care of Pinellas County has given $93,000 to local organizations. To learn more, contact Brenda George at 727-515-1868.
The Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Tampa Bay is grateful for their support and will utilize funds to recruit, train, and retain Guardian ad Litem volunteer child advocates and ultimately provide a voice for every child in the dependency system.
